a bit about me...
What I do for Romag
I joined Romag in 1990 as Technical Manager before progressing to Technical Director in 1996. Day to day I can find myself doing anything from designing and testing rail windscreens to specifying and establishing the manufacturing facilities within Romag. I work with an experienced team to provide the best service for our customers.
Professional skills & expertise
I was educated at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, where I obtained a degree in Natural Sciences, Class 2.1. On leaving College I worked for BICC for two years or so before joining TSL Group PLC, as a Process Manager where I was responsible for the production of a range of Fused Quartz rod and tube. I enjoyed six years at TSL before I began working at Romag Ltd.
Why I love my job!
I really enjoy working with our customers and supporting our sales team with any queries they receive. The more abstract the better, because I enjoy a challenge. With my experience in the glazing industry combined with my knowledge of semiconductors I was capable of setting up the first BIPV module manufacturing line in the UK. This has given me confidence in all aspects of photovoltaic manufacturing. I enjoy Product Development and looking for new ways of doing things. Nothing needs to stay the same. We can always learn more, modify and find ways of doing things even better. That’s why we lead the way. I have in-depth knowledge of the supply chain and I challenge anyone to ask me a question about the industry and I’ll do my best to answer it - if I don’t know the answer I’ll find a way to make it work. That’s what I do.
