One of the best ways to get involved is by attending some of the many solar energy events that take place both in the UK and all over the world. These can range from industry trade shows and fairs, where companies get together to showcase the latest PV technology, to conferences and seminars, where the current and future challenges the field faces are discussed and debated.

Solar Middle East

When: 14–16 February 2017

Where: DubaiWorldTrade Centre, UAE

What: Solar Middle East is the biggest trade event for the Middle Eastern and North African market, and is run in partnership with the Government of Dubai. You will be able to learn about the latest developments in the industry and see new technology in action at this event that attracts over 3,500 attendees. It provides the perfect opportunity for networking and starting discussions with people involved in the region’s solar market, as well as key policy- and decision-makers.

Africa Energy Indaba

When: 21–22 February 2017

Where: Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa

What: The ninth annual Africa Energy Indaba will take place in Sandton, where ministers and other key industry figures will congregate to discuss the latest energy issues facing the continent and how new technology can assist in overcoming them. PV Expo & PV System Expo 2017

What: The 10th annual PV Expo and 8th annual PV System Expo will be held simultaneously at the Big Sight in Tokyo. These two exhibitions are essential events for anyone who is interested in learning more about the Japanese and Asian-Pacific solar PV markets.

The PV Expo is Japan’s biggest B2B trade show for the solar industry, showcasing the latest products, materials, and manufacturing technologies from around the world.
